Memories of loved ones

herinnerdingen

Every now and then I see fantastic initiatives on the web. Herinnerdingen ('things to remember') is such an example. This site lets children create a monument for a close relative they lost. The children take pictures from objects and tell a story what the objects mean to them. I've browsed through some of the stories. It's the ordinary thing that keep the memories alive: a bike, a pack of cigarettes, a shirt. Heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time.

Le Web 3

Considering all things said in the blogosphere about Le Web 3 in Paris, I'm glad I decided not to go there.

Whooohooo!

There are things in life that I cannot or will not write about. Take for instance the story someone I've never met before told me after bumping into my company blog. Or the day I reached a milestone, thanks to some people who believe (or kept believing) in me. Every now and then there are moments in life I'll only talk about in close circles, acting strategically, even though I favor communicative action. All I'll say for now is that I'm relieved to see that the path I chose to go some time ago turns out to be the right one after all, despite the frustration, doubt, hope and tears.

BBC's Next Generation

Next Generation is a very interesting project by the BBC. Especially School day 24 caught my attention: line-ups between young people around the globe.
