… I see myself sitting at the back of my house. I’m taking a break from work, made myself a cappuccino and am now enjoying it in the winter sun, overlooking the fields. The cat notices me and joins me on the bench. My office is not in my house, but is located in the small cottage on the side. Ton’s not here today, but I’m not alone in my office. A friend stays in the cottage (equiped with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen) for a couple of weeks. He needed a quiet place to write and we happily offered our cottage as a place to stay.
Ton has a speaking gig in London, I’m working on my research project. Have done loads of interviews with thought leaders on the current subject in the past weeks. Now that they’re done, I’m taking it a little slow. Catching up with the online world right now, next week I’ll start editing all the video and audio materials from the interviews.
The kids are still in school, so still a few hours left to enjoy this peaceful and quiet day. Tonight Ton will be home again. Finally

The first part about the bench, the sun and the coffee, as well as the last part about me being home soon (I am 40mins away at the moment of typing this) are already true of course. Just the cottage-bit in between we have to work on
